NEW BOOK: “CAPTIVATED BY THE LIGHT: Evolution of a Medium”

My newest book is now available:

When does a person begin to realize they are not just a body operating in a three-dimensional, material world? What multitude of influences converges to change our focus and cause us to cease looking for fulfillment outside of ourselves, and begin turning inward? Yogis call this shift in awareness an experience of “world weariness,” a time when we ask ourselves: Is this all there is?

For Jessica, the moment came quite unexpectedly when the “veil between the worlds” parted and she was illuminated by Spiritual Light for the first time. It’s difficult to describe the Light in human language, because words fail to reflect the brilliance of the colors and the way they vibrate with living energy. Nevertheless, readers of this book will gain greater understanding as to how we are all embodiments of the Light—and the need to manifest more of it in the world.

There is always the potential for redemption, forgiveness and healing. In this testament to the adaptability of the human spirit, Jessica writes with searing honesty of the early trauma that led her to spirituality, and her subsequent journey from darkness toward the Light. Readers will also enjoy her colorful stories about coming of age at the end of the beatnik era, her hitchhiking adventures, traveling with Swami Muktananda, studying with the faith healers of the Philippines, and developing her clairvoyant abilities.

INGRID NOYES, Executive Director, Walker Creek Music Camp:

The author’s writing is so descriptive that when I came to the part about “cups of coffee, sweet and white with cream,” I had to stop right there and go make myself a cup of coffee, and I don’t even drink coffee! Again…her voice comes through strong and true when she describes life in the Philippines, “This is how life should be lived–in a community that first nurtures itself, and then radiates love out in ever-widening circles until the possibility exists for everyone in the world to be at peace and filled with joy.” I have also felt what she describes as “world weariness” and the need for a “shift in awareness.” This book inspires me to meditation in these times of turmoil. I am grateful for the inspiration and entertainment I experienced from reading this book.

This is a wonderful book about the author’s life journey and her searching for answers. To me, it was a book of hope, no matter what life may throw at you, you can surmount anything. Never give up searching for your own answers. A wonderful and captivating read.

The Dignity Project

The theme of healing family of origin experiences weaves through Jessica’s story, supporting the potency of authentic forgiveness. It is within this vulnerability that I could connect Jessica’s gift of mediumship and how distorted views of our lives preclude clear seeing and sharing of Love.

This is stunning, raw, and honest storytelling. All of the characters entering and exiting are carefully explored and are representative of people in our own stories, in their various expressions of experiencing lack and diminishment. Through Jessica’s emergence from trauma we see that the heart is inviolable. Her true nature reveals itself throughout her early years and comes into full expression through her awareness and acceptance of the wounded human psyche. I rejoiced as she was freed to navigate the energetic dimension where true healing occurs.

Mediums are, by definition, clairvoyant, or psychic. The information they receive from the spiritual dimension can cover a wide variety of issues and be related to the past, present, or future. If you could talk to God/Spirit/Your Higher Self, what would you ask?

Do you yearn for a message from a deceased loved one?

Do you suspect a past life is impacting you in the present?

Are you having health or emotional difficulties?

Is there a negative energy cord into one of your chakras?

Are you curious about possible spirit guides, or whether your Third Eye is open or closed and to what degree?

Mediumship is closely related to channeling. The terms channel and medium mean essentially the same thing, although some people believe channels give their bodies and consciousness over completely and allow spiritual beings to speak through them—whereas, mediums receive and transmit messages, while retaining conscious awareness of their human personality. Both channels and mediums enter into a trance state, which can be deep, light, or anywhere in between. Mediums have the ability to receive impressions from the spiritual dimensions, including hearing a spirit speak (clairaudience), seeing a vision (clairvoyance), smelling an unusual smell, or simply sensing something (clairsentience).

The spiritual gifts I’ve received allow me to see beyond the physical dimension, including the ability to view the human energy field—and also the inside of the physical body—for the purpose of identifying and helping to correct imbalance and “dis-ease.”

Similar to other mediums, I work with several spirit guides. Energy from these beings comes in through my crown chakra as a ray of radiant divine light, bringing with it information, often in the form of pictures, but sometimes as words or sensations. Often, I can tell which guide is speaking based on the color of the light reflected by the guide. Spirit guides protect and inspire human beings. They communicate with us during meditation and also during the dream state. They might be angels, archangels, ascended masters, saints, deceased family members, animals, and even extraterrestrials. Spirit guides provide advice and information, but they do not tell us what to do because they are not allowed to interfere with human free will.

Crossing the bridge from Hood Canal, Oregon into Washington, I felt a lifting of energy, a shift. Everything was brighter and sparkling. The trees seemed greener and more alive.

We were twenty miles from Trout Lake and ECETI Ranch, founded by James Gilliland to study UFOs and other paranormal activity in the area around Mt. Adams. My primary purpose for making the trip was to meet Peter Maxwell Slattery, a world-famous UFOlogist from Australia who was visiting The Ranch. I had recently worked on three of his books. These books were “channeled” through Pete by “Shi-Ji,” a Light Being from the star cluster Pleiades.

Mind you, I went with no expectations regarding UFOs or alternate realities, but I was hopeful I would see something unusual during “Skywatch Weekend.”

It was quite cold the day we arrived, so we took long, hot showers. Afterward, I decided to sit alone in the shower room for a while and enjoy the warmth. Closing my eyes and falling into meditation—which for me is more like a clairvoyant trance—I had a vision of the large field in the center of The Ranch. This field is where the human visitors sit at night to watch the lights in the sky, and also the lights going in and out of Mt. Adams.

In my vision,the entire field was filled with different colors and inter-dimensional beings (or entities). They appeared to be having a party, a meeting. They were laughing and singing and dancing. In the center of the field, an “elevator” reached from the ground up into the sky as far as I could see. Everything appeared as scintillating light.

On the left, some beings were floating gently downward. Arriving at the party, they were greeted by those already in the field. On the right, others were floating upward.

According to my travel companion, the “elevator” is a “portal,” a point of intersection between our physical reality and other worlds.

This vision was magical and indescribable, although some might say the beings in my vision were coming and going to a “mother ship.” I had heard other visitors at ECETI talking about the enormous extraterrestrial ships that sometimes appear over the field, and also the other worlds and dimensions that connect to earth in the ECETI field. Another way to explain this psychic phenomenon is that the UFOs and the beings who inhabit them are in the same space as we are—but in an alternate universe that vibrates at a higher frequency.

I cannot explain this experience, not even to myself, nor do I understand it completely. I merely accept it as a beautiful experience of a peaceful, loving, compassionate presence, a vision of a happy place.

The next day, I met Pete Slattery, who also seems to vibrate at a higher frequency, even higher than some of the great gurus and teachers I’ve meet—but in a different way. Like most of the people I met at The Ranch, Pete is fully heart-centered and focused on service to humanity.

On Saturday night, I braved the cold and sat at the edge of the field for Skywatch with about thirty others. Pete and James Gilliland had laser pointers, and they would flash them up into the sky and shout, “There’s one! [Referring to a UFO.) And, “WOW, look at that one power up.” Everyone was cheering and laughing. I loved it!

My view of reality and the planet we live on was forever changed when Pete handed me his night vision goggles to watch the sky. I could hardly believe how much was going on above me. I observed several bright lights cross the sky and then blink off abruptly. There were also brilliant lights going in and out through apparent openings on Mt. Adams.

I feel profoundly changed by my experiences at the ECETI Ranch. I’m more centered in myself, and I’m hopeful for the future of humanity and Planet Earth. It really did seem—at least for a few days—that we are not alone in our struggles, and that unconditional love is available to all life forms in all worlds and dimensions.

Focus on the wider view as you meditate and explore the vast universe that lies inside of you. Imagine you are in a beautiful garden and you are picking fragrant flowers made only of scintillating golden light. As you pick them, sing to yourself, I am a holy child of God, beloved of the One who made me.

This book of channeled messages comes to us from beyond the veil, from the fifth dimension, from the other side—however you choose to think of the non-physical reality we will all experience when we return to our true “home.”

Dictated by the Spirit Being known simply as “Paul,” during clairvoyant communication with the author in her role as a medium, Paul’s Messages cover a wide variety of metaphysical and practical topics: automatic writing, bio-magnetic healing, food as medicine, cleansing the aura, spirit guides, healing trauma and illness with energy and prayer, astral travel and long-distance healing, opening the Third Eye, reincarnation and past lives, ghosts, energy cords, and life purpose.

Paul’s Messages offer healing and guidance for the ailing, clarity for the conflicted, and comfort for the grieving.

Have you felt the soft touch of angel wings while you were sleeping? Did you dream of a beautiful garden? This is your true home. For now, you can live on the earth peacefully, knowing that someday you will go to the Lord’s beautiful green garden in the Golden City. So hold fast to your faith. Let not the mercurial, shifting winds of fate in the physical world lead you this way and that. Keep to the true path that will bring you closer and closer to your true self, to who you really are, and to God.

While you are still on the earth plane, remember to enjoy yourself. Don’t be too serious. You will see your loved ones again after you cross over because we are all born into life after life with those we love—and we are also together between lives in the City of the Lord. No one is ever lost to another. Everything will be lighter, different, when you are no longer constrained by the dense vibrations of physical matter. You will think of someplace and then you’ll just be there, so don’t be in a hurry to “get dense” again.

Ever searching for meaning in even the most simple of happenings, there is a sense of exhaustion. Try to slow down. Just take a deep breath and relax. You are safe now and nothing can harm you. Even if you are standing still, you cannot be violated. Humans have free will and free choice, and this is very important. You have the power to create and make changes according to your own will in finding your destiny.

*  *  *

You can rest now from running. Take a deep breath and know that the Supreme Being of your heart loves you very much. The negative influences you experience can be shifted with sacred love and healing hands. Rather than “running” away from your pain, visualize it dissolving in the brilliant light of divine love—truly, evil cannot exist if we allow God’s Light to shine in the darkness.

*  *  *

Spirit is asking you to write love letters to that small girl inside you—who is also you—until the “well runs dry.” In this way, you can reclaim your birthright as a beautiful creature created by the Lord. The adult woman will not be fulfilled in relationship to the adult man until the child within is acknowledged, loved, and reclaimed. When you write your love letters, imagine you are writing to that small girl who is standing alone in her party dress. Be her friend, and tell her she is loved and lovely.

Remember to thank the spirit helpers who cluster all around you. Visualize them picking away and discarding the diseased cells in your body, very carefully separating the distorted calls from the healthy cells. Later, the final physical removal of your sickness will be almost an afterthought, just a cleansing of some old dead, diseased tissue you no longer need—for your illness will have served the purpose of opening you to the Light, to God.

*  *  *

You can let go now. God loves you just as you are, even when you feel like you have made a mistake, or when you feel ashamed. Remember to walk always in the Light of the Holy Spirit. Clean out your closet and buy some new clothes to wear in bright colors. Your time of darkness is over.

REV. RAMON “JUN” LABO: Psychic Surgery and the Metaphysical Temple of the Universe and School of Mediumship

Rev. Ramon “Jun: Labo was born in 1934 in Dagupan City in Pangasinan, Philippines. He healed thousands of people of a wide variety of illnesses over the course of his life using the metaphysical method known as “psychic surgery.” This book is a partial record of his spiritual healing and teaching career during the later years of his life.

Part One details the seminar in mediumship the author attended with Rev. Labo in 2008, in Baguio City. The seminar included lectures in which Jun spoke about his process and how he views health and spiritual healing – his most important advice being: “Don’t get dirty again.”

About the seminar, Jun said, “This school was started to send the students out into the world to their own countries to help others….The Spirit is fire and it is very hot. Touch others with your open palms to heal them.”

Part Two describes individual experiences with Rev. Labo and three other Filipino healers: Esther Bravo, Arsenia del la Cruz, and Romeo Leonen. Part Three offers commentary regarding politics in the Philippines in late 2015.

This book is intended for readers who are familiar with psychic surgery, and who might have met Jun, but also for those who are new to the subject.

The song “Healing Journey” by Gila Antara was often played in Jun Labo’s clinic, and Gila has kindly allowed the author to include a link to her song in this e-book.

Psychic Surgery and Faith Healing provides an in-depth look at the subtle yet profound interplay between physical reality and the spiritual dimensions. Pangasinan Province on the Philippine Island of Luzon has long been associated with mysterious, metaphysical phenomena and alternative healing, as practiced by the indigenous Filipinos. This book explores psychic surgery and faith healing from the historical perspective as well as the author’s personal experience. Also included is a detailed resource section with information on traveling to the Philippines and locating the healers.

Mile after mile, the wind flows through the open windows, bringing with it the smell of the dry fields, cow manure, cooking fires, and molasses. The dust of the road contains everything that has ever existed. This fine powder, carried around the world by breeze, squall, and tempest, might once have been my ancestor, the clouds of another planet, or even my own body. When Joseph stops the jeepney for a short break, I wander out into the fields, my sandaled feet kicking up some farmer’s forgotten furrow, and I feel as if I am touching the stars, the moon, the very heart of God. I meet myself in the fragmented earth.
